I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m answering a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where to score deals on them, below! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, take a look at my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and review of golden sneakers my Dudley Stephens fleece!
Where did you purchase them?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick which was a major plus
How expensive are they?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
How is the fit?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.

Are they comfortable?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also look great.
Best places to buy them cheaper?
Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.
- GGoose.org – the spot where I found my pair!
- Gilt – signing up costs nothing!
- Vestiaire Collection – it seems they are giving $50 off your first order of $150+ in their app with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an excellent source for brand new or gently used Golden Goose shoes at low prices
- Ebay – even more great scores on nearly new pairs
- @likeabandit – she shares many Golden Goose finds on her Instagram stories, so be sure to watch for them
Where can I find Golden Goose sneakers?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast – definitely a bonus
How much do they run?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
These sneakers typically range from $400–$1,700, depending on how customized they are.
Are they true to size?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
